God's Plan of Salvation
The following Bible verses illustrate God's plan for you to be
saved. Remember that salvation leads to living a Christian life--it's a
journey, not a destination!
- God loves everyone.
But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet
sinners, Christ died for us. --Romans 5:8
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
--John 3:16
All people are sinners.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. --Romans
3:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord. --Romans 6:23
The Holy Spirit convicts people of their sins.
And when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of
righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on Me...
--John 16:8-9
The sinner must repent of sin.
For I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
--Matthew 9:13
The kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
--Mark 1:15
Trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt
believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be
saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth
confession is made unto salvation. --Romans 10:9-10
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
--Romans 10:13
Pray for salvation.
"Lord Jesus, I confess to You that I am a sinner. I believe that You died
for my sins and that God has raised You from the dead. I repent of my sins, and
I ask You to forgive me and to save me from my sins right now. I think You for
saving me and for giving me eternal life. In Your name I pray. Amen."
